Position Summary
The Human Resources Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports company-wide recruiting efforts by managing candidate screening, interview coordination, and recruiting operations for hourly direct-hire roles. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, this role partners closely with HR, hiring managers, and operations leaders to ensure a consistent, efficient, and compliant hiring process using Paycomβs recruiting and onboarding workflows.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening internal recruiting capabilities, reducing reliance on staffing agencies, reducing turnover rates, and improving hiring quality, speed, and early retention.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting Operations & Paycom Workflow Management
- Review incoming resumes and applications within Paycom to identify qualified candidates.
- Screen applicants against job requirements, compliance standards, and organizational needs.
- Advance candidates through Paycom recruiting workflows, ensuring accurate status tracking at each stage.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to evaluate candidate fit and prioritize applicants.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate records, notes, and disposition reasons in Paycom.
- Provide regular status updates to HR and hiring managers on open requisitions.
- Conduct cold outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline building using Paycom and external sourcing tools.
- Support offer coordination, pre-employment steps, and handoff to onboarding processes within Paycom.
- Expand direct-hire candidate pipelines to reduce dependence on staffing agencies.
- Identify recruiting, onboarding, or handoff process gaps contributing to early turnover and assist with corrective actions.
- Ensure recruiting practices align with company policy, data integrity standards, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree preferred
- Prior experience in human resources and recruiting.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to evaluate resumes against job requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Paycom is a plus.
- Experience recruiting through Indeed, LinkedIn, or other web-based recruiting platforms.
- Experience cold calling or proactively sourcing candidates.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
