JOB SUMMARY

The HR Specialist – Talent Acquisition & Interviewing –position is responsible for coordinating and conducting interviews across various departments to support WRC’s staffing goals. This role plays a critical part in the recruitment process, ensuring the company attracts and hires qualified candidates who align with organizational culture and needs.

WAGE RANGE: $18.00               

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Conducts structured and behavioral interviews for a variety of roles across the organization.
  3. Collaborates with hiring managers to understand position requirements, team dynamics, and ideal candidate profiles.
  4. Screens applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  5. Schedules and coordinates interviews (in-person, virtual, or panel) with appropriate applicants.
  6. Participates in job fairs and hiring events to represent the company and source talent.
  7. Develops and maintains talent pipelines for key positions.
  8. Provides feedback and guidance to hiring managers on interview results and candidate assessments.
  9. Coordinates background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment testing as needed.
  10. Maintains accurate and up-to-date recruitment records in the applicant tracking system (UKG).
  11. Assists with onboarding and new hire orientation if needed.
  12. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and tribal employment laws and internal hiring policies.
  13. Promote confidentiality of personnel files, records, and HR actions at all times.
  14. Promotes a clean, safe, and healthy work environment for employees and guests.
  15. Ensure that the operation of equipment, tools, and materials is handled safely.
  16. Assist with special projects, assignments, tasks, etc., as directed by the manager or director.
  17. Keep the manager informed of any unusual personnel needs, issues, or concerns.
  18. Comply with regulatory laws, employee handbook, department policy and procedures, safety codes, etc.
  19. Assist with related HR functions as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Three (3) years of experience in HR or recruitment setting.
  2. Three (3) years of experience conducting interviews and supporting hiring processes.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Ability to assess candidate qualifications objectively.
  5. Comfortable interviewing diverse candidates across departments and job levels.
  6. Organized and able to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
  7. Familiarity with systems and basic HR software.
  8. Understanding of employment laws and confidentiality requirements.
  1. Need to work without direction, have self-starter initiative, and possess strong time management skills.
  2. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and manner in interacting with employees and guests.
  3. Requires a High-Security gaming license clearance.
  4. Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  2. THRP, SHRM, PHR or similar certification
  3. Management experience
