Job Description & Summary

At PwC Australia, it’s the relationships you build that will spark lasting change—bringing clarity, momentum and confidence to how we hire and grow our people.

As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you’ll play a vital role in leading our enterprise‑wide talent acquisition strategy to deliver consistent, high‑quality and compliant hiring aligned to our skills‑first operating model. You’ll partner with our Lines of Service and Enabling Functions teams, across Workforce Strategy, People & Culture, Talent and Finance.

Why PwC?

At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.

Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide enterprise-wide leadership of Talent Acquisition and execute the TA strategy aligned to workforce plans and talent strategy; serving as a key member of the Culture, Talent and Leadership CoE
  • Oversee recruitment demand management and prioritisation, partnering with Workforce Strategy, People & Culture, Talent and Finance to ensure compliant engagement models (permanent, fixed term, contractor, contingent)
  • Drive continuous transformation and improvement of the TA operating model, processes, technology adoption and governance to balance speed, quality, risk and candidate experience; manage vendors, agencies and platforms for value and consistency
  • Provide strong, visible people leadership—role‑model trusted leadership, lead through ambiguity, coach for skills‑based and data‑driven capability, foster an inclusive high‑performance culture, and manage team capacity and wellbeing

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive senior leadership in Talent Acquisition/Workforce Strategy within large, complex organisations, with a proven track record leading functions through transformation and operating model change
  • Deep expertise in enterprise job architecture, skills‑based organisations and workforce planning, underpinned by strong data‑driven decision making
  • Commercial and data‑literate, able to balance workforce outcomes, cost, risk and candidate experience
  • Experienced partnering with Risk, Governance and Finance to deliver compliant, scalable hiring across permanent, fixed‑term, contractor and contingent models
  • Trusted, influential communicator who navigates complex, matrixed environments and translates complex workforce concepts into clear, actionable insights
  • Professional qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)

What you’ll gain:

  • Leadership development programs and executive coaching designed to help you inspire teams and accelerate your career growth
  • A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life
  • Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together
  • Being part of a community united by purpose, delivering impact that reaches clients, communities, and the future you’re shaping
