OVERVIEW
The Education Programs Talent Acquisition Coordinator works under the supervision of the FLYERS Director and in partnership with the Human Resources Department and Education Programs leadership team. This position plays a key role in attracting, recruiting, and onboarding high-quality staff for FLYERS while supporting other Education Programs staffing initiatives as needed. The Coordinator serves as an ambassador for the organization by building community partnerships, promoting employment opportunities, and supporting initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and retention.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Staff Recruitment:
- Participate in internal and external job fairs, community outreach events, school partnerships, and other talent attraction activities in coordination with the Human Resources Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
- Act as a brand ambassador by effectively communicating the organization's culture, values, and benefits to prospective candidates.
- Foster relationships with local schools and organizations and participate in outreach events to strengthen childcare talent pipelines in coordination with the Human Resources Talent Acquisition Coordinator.
Workforce Planning & Hiring Support:
- Collaborate closely with Program Coordinators, Area Coordinators, Education leadership, and Human Resources to identify current FLYERS and future staffing needs.
- Maintain regular communication with FLYERS program leadership to anticipate vacancies, staffing shortages, and seasonal hiring demands.
- Screen FLYERS applicants, conduct phone and in-person interviews, coordinate reference checks, and assist with candidate selection.
- Maintain consistent communication with FLYERS candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure positive applicant experience.
- Partner with hiring managers to facilitate timely hiring decisions and successful staffing outcomes.
Onboarding & Employee Integration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for newly hired FLYERS employees throughout the onboarding process.
- Monitor and assist new hires in completing pre-employment and onboarding requirements
- Coordinate communication between Human Resources, Education Programs leadership, and new employees to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
- Facilitate introductions between FLYERS new hires and their Program Coordinators, Area Coordinators, and other key team members.
- Ensure new FLYERS employees receive the information, resources, and support necessary for a successful transition into their role.
- Conduct regular follow-up communication with new FLYERS staff during their first 30 days to address questions, identify concerns, and promote employee engagement and retention.
Retention and Employee Experience:
- Support initiatives that promote FLYERS employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Identify trends and feedback from FLYERS candidates, new hires, and supervisors to recommend improvements to recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Assist in developing strategies to improve new hire retention and overall employee experience
- Build positive relationships with FLYERS employees and supervisors to foster strong communication and organizational connection.
Other Duties:
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational needs.Â

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Two or more years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing, education programs, childcare operations, or a related field
- ADP Workforce Now experience preferredÂ
- Experience working in childcare, youth programs, education, camps, afterschool programs, or related environments preferred
- Associate's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- CPR certification; will train

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to exert up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects when needed. Physical demands are in excess of those for sedentary work; must be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time. This position regularly works in both office and field environments and may require travel between program locations, schools, community events, and recruitment activities.
