This role provides strategic leadership and expertise in developing and deploying crucial people strategies across the enterprise that will attract, select, onboard, engage, and recognize our talent to fuel organizational growth. This individual is responsible for driving an integrated talent strategy that is aligned with the broader organizational goals/strategic business priorities while optimizing talent systems and solutions. This role leads the pursuit and engagement of talent that will likely create transformational change across Thrivent!
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Drives Results and Leads Change by aligning and creating programs, tools, systems, and resources to support the evolving needs of the enterprise. Oversees the creation and implementation of;
- Repeatable and scalable recruitment and onboarding strategies
- An attraction Employment Value Proposition and branding strategy
- Employee recognition and engagement tactics
- Targeted diversity recruitment and retention practices
- Policies and procedures that create a positive employee experience resulting in high quality and effective talent for the organization
- Meaningful metrics and analytics to measure effectiveness and impact on the organization
- Actively stays ahead of external talent trends and best practices to continuously evolve and develop programs that fulfill our talent needs.
Builds Relationships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
- Influences HR constituents and cross functional teams to resolve highly complex issues and challenges. Partners with other COE’s such as Total Rewards, Workforce Services, and HR Business Partners to fully understand and support business needs in a united partnership
Grows Talent to build, maintain and effectively manage a diverse, high-performing team to meet current and future business needs.
- Creates a positive culture and team dynamics by recognizing the exponential value that different perspectives and cultures bring to Thrivent.
- Demonstrates a high level of modeling and coaching of all of the Thrivent Leadership Competencies.
- Consistent with our Performance Management process, meets with the team to discuss performance, career aspiration, development, and to provide feedback/coaching. Proactively plans and shapes the talent needs to ensure appropriate staffing and capability/skillset development.
Required Job Qualifications
- College degree required; MBA or other advanced degrees a plus.
- At least eight or more years experience leading complex and strategic talent management programs and people.
- Deep understanding of talent management strategies and practices.
- Proven ability to design and implement creative solutions that drive business results and solve complex problems.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to consult, build strong partnerships, and influence change across the organization, including executives and others at higher levels.
- Proven ability to lead effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change.

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $158,271.00 - $214,132.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
