Summary: The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading enterprise-wide recruiting strategy across a multi-unit hospitality portfolio, supporting both restaurant operations and corporate functions. This role partners closely with Executive Leadership to develop and execute scalable talent acquisition strategies that drive organizational growth, operational excellence, and long-term workforce planning.
The Director serves as a strategic business partner to Operations and Human Resources, overseeing high-volume recruitment, employer branding, talent pipeline development, recruiting analytics, and leadership hiring initiatives. This role is responsible for building and leading recruiting processes that attract top talent while enhancing the candidate and hiring manager experience across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies aligned with company growth objectives and operational needs
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Human Resources, and Operations teams to align talent acquisition strategies with organizational growth objectives, workforce planning, and operational needs
- Analyze labor market trends, recruiting metrics, and workforce data to provide strategic hiring recommendations and compensation competitiveness
- Lead recruitment forecasting initiatives for new restaurant openings, expansion markets, and seasonal staffing fluctuations
- Design and optimize scalable recruiting processes, interview structures, and hiring workflows to improve efficiency and hiring quality
- Develop standardized hiring and interview practices across all business units to ensure consistency and compliance
- Evaluate and implement recruiting technologies, sourcing tools, and ATS enhancements to improve operational effectiveness
- Lead employer branding initiatives to strengthen the organizationβs reputation as an employer of choice within the hospitality industry and talent platforms
- Develop partnerships with culinary schools, hospitality programs, industry associations, and community organizations to build talent pipelines
- Oversee recruiting marketing initiatives, social recruiting strategies, and hiring campaigns
- Monitor recruiting budgets, agency usage, and cost-per-hire metrics
- Ensure all recruiting and hiring practices remain compliant with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies
- Oversee candidate assessment and selection processes to ensure alignment with operational needs, leadership competencies, and company culture
- Serve as the on-site recruiting lead for new restaurant openings, managing high-volume hiring from pre-opening through launch
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for high-turnover and critical roles
- Oversee reference check, background screening, and pre-employment verification processes in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Prepare and extend job offers, including compensation discussions in partnership with Executive leadership
- Oversee onboarding coordination and new hire integration to support operational readiness and employee experience
- Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of applicant tracking workflows and recruiting documentation processes
- Travel as needed to support new openings and multi-unit hiring initiatives, particularly during pre-opening and launch phases
Must Haves:
- Bachelorβs degree in human resources, Business, Hospitality Management, or related field required; advanced degree preferred
- 7β10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including leadership experience within hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit environments
- Proven success leading high-volume, multi-state recruitment strategies within a fast-paced growth organization
- Strong business acumen with the ability to influence executive leadership and operational stakeholders
- Experience supporting executive-level recruitment and succession planning initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of employment laws, recruiting compliance, and workforce planning practices
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience utilizing recruiting metrics to drive strategic decisions
- Experience leading recruitment efforts for new restaurant openings and rapid organizational growth
- Proficiency with ATS, HRIS, recruiting analytics, and sourcing platforms
Additional Role Requirements:
- Remote role with regular travel to restaurant locations as needed
- Travel required during new restaurant openings to support on-site recruiting and onboarding execution
- Flexibility to support hiring events
