Job Summary 


The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading and executing the company’s talent acquisition strategy to support organizational growth and operational staffing needs across all markets. This role provides strategic and operational leadership over recruiting processes, workforce planning support, employer branding, recruiting technology, and recruitment performance metrics. The Director will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Regional Leadership, and Executive Leadership to ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains high-quality talent while maintaining efficient, consistent, and compliant hiring practices. 


This role requires a hands-on leader who can build structure, drive accountability, analyze recruiting data, and continuously improve hiring processes across a multi-location organization. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Lead and manage the national talent acquisition strategy across field, corporate, and leadership roles, ensuring timely and high-quality hiring.  
  • Oversee field recruitment performance at the station level, partnering closely with regional and station leadership to ensure staffing levels align with operational demand.  
  • Develop and implement structured recruiting processes, interview guides, hiring workflows, and accountability measures across all hiring managers and locations.  
  • Provide strategic oversight and administration of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring proper configuration, compliance, reporting, and user adoption.  
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, applicant flow, source effectiveness, and hiring trends.  
  • Develop and maintain talent acquisition dashboards and executive-level recruiting reports to support workforce planning and business decisions.  
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership on workforce planning, staffing forecasts, and upcoming hiring needs.  
  • Build and maintain strategic recruiting pipelines through community partnerships, schools, workforce programs, job boards, and industry networks.  
  • Lead employer branding initiatives including social media recruiting, job marketing campaigns, hiring events, and community engagement.  
  • Ensure a consistent and positive candidate experience across all stages of the hiring and onboarding process.  
  • Manage recruitment vendors, job boards, background vendors, and external recruiting agencies as needed.  
  • Coach and train hiring managers and leadership on interviewing, selection, hiring processes, and recruiting best practices.  
  • Develop and mentor recruiting team members and establish clear performance expectations and recruiting goals.  
  • Ensure recruiting processes remain compliant with all applicable employment laws and company policies.  
  • Continuously evaluate recruiting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency, quality of hire, and hiring manager satisfaction. 
Requirements

Experience and Skills 


  • 8+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience.  
  • 3+ years of leadership or recruiting management experience.  
  • Experience supporting high-volume, multi-site recruiting environments preferred (transportation, logistics, operations, retail, hospitality, or similar industries).  
  • Strong experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), recruiting metrics, and recruiting process development.  
  • Demonstrated ability to build structure, improve processes, and drive accountability across hiring teams.  
  • Experience managing recruiting budgets, cost analysis, and recruiting ROI.  
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills including Excel and recruiting dashboards.  
  • Experience building recruiting pipelines, community partnerships, and workforce development relationships.  
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.  
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment. 


Physical Requirements  


  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods and frequently operate a computer and office equipment.  
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.  
  • Travel to station locations, hiring events, or partner sites is required (up to 20%).  
  • May occasionally move or transport recruiting materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.  
  • Must be able to navigate office environments, airport facilities, and transportation staging areas.
