Description

We are conducting a search on behalf of one of our valued clients for a Director of Talent Acquisition to lead, modernize, and elevate their Talent Acquisition function.

This is an opportunity for a strategic, entrepreneurial TA leader who can take an existing recruiting organization and transform it into a high-performing, scalable, and business-focused function.

The ideal candidate brings a modern approach to Talent Acquisition, combined with strong operational discipline and an agency mindsetโ€”treating the business and hiring managers as clients and delivering measurable results.

The organizationโ€™s recruiting environment is approximately 80% highly skilled blue-collar and sales hiring and 20% corporate recruiting, making experience across these talent segments particularly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Talent Acquisition strategy and function, aligning recruiting priorities with business objectives.
  • Modernize and optimize recruiting processes, systems, technology, metrics, and workflows.
  • Build a high-performing, scalable recruiting operation with clear accountability and measurable results.
  • Develop innovative sourcing and recruiting strategies for highly skilled, blue-collar, sales, and corporate talent.
  • Establish an agency-style service model focused on responsiveness, partnership, candidate quality, and speed.
  • Partner closely with business leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver against hiring goals.
  • Establish meaningful Talent Acquisition metrics and use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Build a strong candidate experience and employer brand.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Evaluate and optimize external recruiting partnerships and other talent resources.
  • Position Talent Acquisition as a strategic competitive advantage for the organization.

Requirements
  • Significant experience leading Talent Acquisition/recruiting teams in a complex organization.
  • Proven experience recruiting highly skilled blue-collar and/or sales talent, along with corporate professionals.
  • A track record of modernizing, transforming, or scaling a Talent Acquisition function.
  • An entrepreneurial, innovative, and agency-minded approach to recruiting.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to partner effectively with senior leadership.
  • A metrics-driven approach with a strong focus on accountability, efficiency, and results.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
  • Experience building recruiting processes and infrastructure that support organizational growth.

Career Opportunity

This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact beyond Talent Acquisition. The immediate focus will be on evolving the current recruiting function into a high-performing, well-oiled machine. For the right individual, there is a longer-term opportunity to expand their scope and develop into a broader HR leadership role, potentially overseeing additional HR functions.
