The Director of Talent Acquisition leads the organizationâs talent acquisition strategy and execution for a multi-state health care company. This role is responsible for developing recruiting strategies, leading the recruiting team, and successfully filling hard-to-staff roles across both urban and rural markets nationwide.Â
While prior clinic-level experience is not required, experience recruiting within healthcare or other regulated, service-driven environments is strongly preferred. This role partners closely with executive leadership and operations, translating workforce needs into effective, scalable recruiting solutions while maintaining ownership of day-to-day execution.Â

Recruiting Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational growth, clinic coverage needs, and workforce plansÂ
- Partner with HR leadership, Operations, Clinical Leadership, and Finance to forecast hiring demand and prioritize recruiting effortsÂ
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight of recruiting execution to ensure roles are filled efficiently and effectivelyÂ
- Continuously evaluate and adapt recruiting approaches based on market conditions and business needsÂ
Hard-to-Fill & Geographic Recruiting
- Lead recruiting efforts for difficult-to-fill roles, including clinical, leadership, and specialized operational positionsÂ
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for urban, suburban, and rural markets, recognizing distinct regional labor challengesÂ
- Apply creative and proactive sourcing methods to expand candidate pipelinesÂ
- Identify patterns in vacancy risk and recommend mitigation strategiesÂ
Clinical & Non-Clinical Recruiting Oversight
- Oversee recruiting for a wide range of roles, including:Â Â
- Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (depending on organizational structure)Â
- Clinical leadership rolesÂ
- Corporate and field-based operational rolesÂ
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure hiring decisions align with coverage, quality, and long-term retention goalsÂ
Talent Acquisition Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of recruiters and sourcing professionalsÂ
- Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance measures for the TA teamÂ
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvementÂ
- Ensure adequate staffing and workload balance within the recruiting functionÂ
Candidate Experience & Employer BrandÂ
- Ensure a consistent, positive candidate experience across all roles and marketsÂ
- Partner with Marketing and HR to strengthen employer branding and recruiting messagingÂ
- Lead recruitment marketing strategy, including job advertisements, career events, and community engagement initiatives.Â
- Represent the organization professionally and competitively in tight labor marketsÂ
- Ensure recruiting practices reflect organizational values, culture, and brandÂ
Processes, Metrics & Market Intelligence
- Establish and track recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and offer acceptance ratesÂ
- Use data and market insights to identify recruiting challenges and opportunitiesÂ
- Recommend adjustments to sourcing strategy, process, or prioritization based on performance trendsÂ
- Manage recruiting tools, systems, and external vendor relationshipsÂ
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with employment law, EEOC guidelines, and healthcare-related requirementsÂ
- Partner with HR, Legal, and Compliance teams to maintain equitable and compliant hiring practicesÂ
- Support documentation and audit readiness related to recruiting activitiesÂ
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorâs degree requiredÂ
- 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or recruitingÂ
- Demonstrated experience building and executing recruiting strategiesÂ
- Proven success recruiting hard-to-fill roles across multiple geographiesÂ
- Experience recruiting in both urban and rural marketsÂ
- Experience recruiting in multi-state and retail type environmentsÂ
- Experience leading and developing recruiting teamsÂ
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skillsÂ
