We are seeking a driven and experienced Talent Acquisition Lead – Support Functions to join our People & Culture team at VetPartners. In this pivotal role, you will lead the recruitment function for all non-veterinarian and locum roles across our 270+ veterinary clinics and hospitals in Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the General Manager of Talent Acquisition, you’ll manage and mentor a team of recruiters and a coordinator, partner with senior operational leaders, and play a key role in shaping and delivering our talent strategy. From process optimisation to executive-level hiring, you’ll ensure our clinics have access to the talent they need to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Recruiters and a Coordinator (including NZ-based team support)
- Set clear KPIs and ensure high team engagement and performance
- Align recruitment efforts with business growth priorities
- Recruitment Delivery & Process Improvement
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for non-vet and locum roles across ANZ
- Drive process improvements to enhance candidate and hiring manager experience
- Utilise recruitment tech (ATS/CRM) to improve workflows and reporting
- Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
- Partner with Employer Brand to deliver engaging campaigns and boost referrals
- Promote a consistent, positive experience throughout the recruitment journey
- Strategic Sourcing & Planning
- Build pipelines for priority roles and support workforce forecasting
- Proactively source talent and support succession planning
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with clinic and business leaders
- Provide regular hiring updates and market insights
- Executive Recruitment
- Manage senior-level hiring (e.g., General Manager roles) as needed
- Support strategic hiring projects across the business
Skills, Attributes, and Experience:
- Over 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition leadership, with a proven ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Strong expertise in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technologies, optimising reporting, workflows, and recruitment processes for greater efficiency.
- Confident and skilled communicator, able to build trust and collaborate effectively with C-suite executives to align talent acquisition strategies with business objectives.
- Passionate about simplifying complex processes and driving performance improvements to enhance recruitment outcomes and organisational success.
- Experience working in healthcare, veterinary, or multi-site service environments, with the ability to manage diverse and distributed workforces in dynamic industries is highly desirable.
