The Talent Acquisition Team Lead serves as the functional lead for Caterpillar’s Engineering Students and Graduates program in the U.S. In this position, you will provide subject‑matter expertise and oversee the full hiring lifecycle, including compliance, recruitment, offer processes, and HR onboarding for program participants. You will also lead and collaborate with recruiting teams responsible for sourcing entry‑level engineering talent.

What You Will Do:

  • Mentor and lead talent acquisition team members
  • Execute recruiting cycle and HR onboarding for Engineering Students and Graduates talent roles
  • Perform trend analysis and utilize data for continuous improvement
  • Lead and partner with recruiting teams who are responsible for the execution of recruiting strategies
  • Advise on recruiting strategies
  • Contribute towards broader recruiting team efforts and projects
  • Ability to communicate at a variety of levels across the organization

What You Will Have:

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Candidate Screening: Knowledge of techniques, methods and processes of candidate screening; ability to preselect suitable candidates for first and further interviews within the organization. Level Extensive Experience: 
  • Candidate Sourcing: Knowledge of techniques, methods and channels of candidate sourcing; ability to attract and qualify candidates for immediate job vacancies or as potential long-term job candidates.
  • Staffing and Recruiting: Knowledge of standards, processes, techniques and methods used in staffing and recruiting; ability to identify, select, retain and relocate qualified personnel, both internally and externally, for a wide range of positions.
  • Workforce Analytics: Knowledge of human resources (HR) and workforce issues and trends; ability to analyze workforce data, information and metrics and apply the results to support business decisions.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • 3 + years of talent acquisition experience
  • University engagement or similar experience
  • Team leadership or mentorship experience

Additional Information:

  • This position will be based in our Mossville, IL office
  • This position requires being in office 5 days a week
  • Visa Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Summary Pay Range:

$97,530.00 - $146,290.00
