Description

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a high‑impact, people‑centered role dedicated to bringing our student talent strategy to life across the Sawmills & Woodlands divisions. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you will be a key driver in attracting top emerging talent, managing the full student hiring journey and delivering a meaningful experience.

Based in Sussex, NB, you will also play an important role in large‑scale tree planting recruitment, lead campus engagement initiatives, contribute to creative employer branding and social media efforts that highlight our student experience and story. 



Responsibilities
  • Manage the full student hiring cycle, including requisitions, job postings, screening, interviews, offers and seamless onboarding.
  • Track interviews, offers, hiring trends, and pipeline metrics to support divisional dashboards and provide meaningful insights to the business.
  • Support seasonal tree planter recruitment by coordinating high‑volume screening, communication and onboarding activities.
  • Plan, organize and represent the company at career fairs, discovery days, campus visits and other engagement events designed to spark interest and build connections with students.
  • Create and share engaging recruitment content for social media, while monitoring trends and audience engagement to strengthen our employer brand.
  • Coordinate student experience activities, including tours, recognition initiatives, check‑ins and evaluations.


Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Business, Human Resources or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum two years of experience in recruitment, HR coordination, student programs or campus engagement.
  • Experience with Oracle ATS or similar applicant tracking systems is considered an asset.
  • Strong communicator with exceptional relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and thrive in fast‑paced, seasonal hiring cycles.
  • Experience using social media for recruitment, marketing or storytelling.
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills and the ability to handle dynamic workloads.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to campuses and operational sites.
