Milwaukee Electronics is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR team in Canby, Oregon. This is a hands-on recruiting role supporting hiring for our Canby, Oregon and Milwaukee, Wisconsin locations, with a primary focus on production and manufacturing positions
 
Based onsite at our Canby, Oregon facility, this position partners closely with hiring managers, production leaders, and HR team to understand staffing needs and manage the recruiting process from requisition through hire.
 
The Specialist sources and engages candidates, conducts phone screens and interviews, and keeps candidates and hiring managers informed throughout the hiring process. The role also spends time on the production floor to understand job requirements, build relationships, and strengthen recruiting partnerships.
 
Talent acquisition is the primary focus; however, the Specialist will also have opportunities to support onboarding, employee communications, company events, reporting, special projects, and other areas of HR. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys recruiting and is interested in building broader HR experience.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned production, manufacturing technician, and other positions at our Canby, Oregon, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin facilities.
  • Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, employee referrals, community partnerships, recruiting events, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Review applications and resumes and conduct phone, video, and in-person interviews.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Keep hiring managers informed of candidate pipelines, recruiting activity, challenges, and next steps.
  • Create and maintain requisitions, job postings, candidate records, workflows, and dispositions in UKG Pro Recruiting.
  • Coordinate offers and pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and required new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and assist new hires with benefit information and required paperwork.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics
  • Maintain company organizational charts 
  • Support Affirmative Action Program (AAP) reporting, recruiting records, and other compliance-related requirements.
  • Ensure recruiting practices and documentation comply with applicable employment laws, EEOC and OFCCP requirements, company policies, and recordkeeping standards.
  • Stay current on recruiting tools, sourcing strategies, best practices, and relevant labor market trends.
  • Support corporate HR projects, employee events, communications, and other HR team priorities across U.S. locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting high-volume hourly positions in a manufacturing, production, or distribution environment.
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys talking with candidates
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, indeed, referrals, networking, direct outreach, or similar recruiting channels.
  • Comfortable conducting frequent candidate phone screens and recruiting conversations throughout the workday.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to manage multiple open positions, competing priorities, deadlines, and follow-up requirements.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS); UKG Pro Recruiting experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, use good judgment, ask questions, and follow up professionally to keep recruiting activities moving.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Team-oriented, with a willingness to contribute beyond talent acquisition and an interest in gaining experience across other areas of HR.
  • Ability to work onsite at the Canby, Oregon facility Monday through Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Recruiting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting recruiting across multiple locations.
  • Familiarity with structured or competency-based interviewing.
  • Experience supporting new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Familiarity with Affirmative Action Program (AAP) metrics, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Familiarity with EEOC and OFCCP recruiting and applicant tracking requirements.
  • Experience supporting HR projects, employee events, or employee communications.

This role is based onsite at our Canby, Oregon facility, located approximately 25 miles south of Portland. The position works in a shared, open-office environment. You'll spend a significant amount of time talking with candidates by phone and will also regularly interact with employees and leaders.

The employee may occasionally lift or carry recruiting, events, or office materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

This position is located at an ITAR-controlled facility and may require access to export-controlled information.
