As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Horizon, you will…
Recruitment & Sourcing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, including clinical, administrative, and support staff
- Proactively source candidates using multiple channels (job boards, social media, referrals, networking, etc.)
- Screen resumes, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate hiring processes with managers
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and high-volume roles
Job Postings & Employer Branding
- Create, update, and manage job postings across platforms (Indeed, Glassdoor, UKG, and other relevant job boards)
- Monitor and respond to employer reviews and ensure accurate, engaging company profiles on Indeed and Glassdoor
- Partner with leadership to ensure consistent employer branding aligned with organizational mission and values
Community Engagement & Outreach
- Represent the organization at career fairs, hiring events, universities, and community-based outreach programs
- Develop partnerships with local colleges, training programs, and community organizations across WNY
- Build and sustain relationships to promote careers in behavioral health and increase candidate pipelines
Pre-Boarding & Candidate Experience
- Coordinate pre-employment processes including background checks, references, and onboarding documentation
- Ensure a smooth and engaging pre-boarding experience for all new hires
- Maintain regular communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience from initial contact through hire
Collaboration & Reporting
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities
- Track recruitment metrics and provide updates on hiring progress and challenges
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in recruiting practices

What makes you a great candidate?
We can’t wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what you’ll need for the job:
- Associates degree required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 1–3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR required (healthcare or behavioral health experience a plus).
- Strong sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and job boards such as UKG, UltiPro, Indeed and Glassdoor.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for supporting behavioral health services and community impact in WNY.
Location
This position is located at our corporate office at 55 Dodge Rd, Getzville NY.
Hours
This is a full-time position from Monday – Friday.
Compensation
Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $19.32- $23.76. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
This position entails eligibility for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 for your commitment to work at our Horizon Certified Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) for at least one year. A change in scheduled hours or location of employment may impact eligibility of bonus.
Physical demands associated with this position include:
- Sitting for extended periods, alternating between standing and sitting
- Mobility required with repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements
- Handling light duties, occasionally lifting objects up to 20 pounds
