DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Specialist supports enterprise recruiting efforts with a focus on hourly workforce pipeline development, early talent programs, and community partnerships. This role plays a critical part in building sustainable talent pipelines through school partnerships, workforce initiatives, and innovative recruiting strategies. The position requires flexibility for occasional evening events and travel.
This is a hybrid position located in Columbus, OH.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support talent pipeline strategies for hourly workforce needs in partnership with facility leadership
- Manage K-12 and campus recruitment initiatives, including career fairs, classroom engagement, and hiring events (some evening events and travel required)
- Coordinate and facilitate facility tours and onsite experiences for student groups and community partners
- Research market data, recruiting trends, and provide updates to leadership teams
- Build and maintain partnerships with organizations such as COMP and OMA, staying informed on programs and sharing relevant opportunities and updates with internal stakeholders
- Provide support for hourly recruiting during peak hiring periods, workforce ramp-ups, or when recruiting team members are unavailable
- Manage and maintain job advertisements across multiple channels, including social media, print, and other recruitment platforms
- Plan and execute workforce and community events such as Manufacturing Day, In-Demand Jobs Week, Bring Your Child to Work Day, and similar initiatives
- Order, manage, and maintain recruitment materials and promotional items for job fairs and events
- Support and manage facilitation of virtual reality (VR) tours across locations
- Review recruiting efforts and recommend strategies to improve candidate pipelines and hiring outcomes
- Serve as the primary recruiter for the intern program, including candidate screening, evaluation, and placement recommendations
- Assist with high school and early talent programs as needed
- Create and maintain interview guides for both hourly and salaried roles
- Assist with interview scheduling for salaried positions as needed
- Establish and maintain military partnerships; lead completion and submission of the Military Friendly® survey
- Act as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) subject matter expert, providing support, guidance, and process improvements
- Create TA updates for monthly HR newsletter and for external Talent Community audience
Desired Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or workforce development preferred
- 1+ year experience within the manufacturing industry
- Experience working with early talent programs, school partnerships, or community workforce initiatives is a plus
- Strong organizational and event planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment marketing tools
- Willingness to travel and attend occasional evening events
