Shape the future of tech talent in a flexible, growing consultancy
Reed Professional Services (RPS) is a leading provider of project consultancy and technology services. We partner with organisations to deliver tailored, high‑quality solutions — combining technical expertise with clear, honest communication.
We’re now looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to take ownership of internal recruitment across our business. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact while working flexibly across one of our UK locations or from home.
About the role
Reporting into the Talent Acquisition Manager and working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll lead end‑to‑end recruitment across a variety of technical and consultancy roles.
You’ll work in a hybrid environment, balancing collaboration in one of our offices (Birmingham, Northampton or London) with the flexibility to work from home.
What you’ll be doing
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements, timelines and team fit
  • Source, screen and shortlist high‑quality candidates across technical disciplines
  • Write and post engaging job adverts across platforms such as LinkedIn and job boards
  • Proactively search for and engage passive candidates
  • Coordinate interviews and provide timely, meaningful feedback
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
  • Conduct reference checks where required
  • Track recruitment activity and provide regular progress updates (MI reporting)
  • Research and implement innovative attraction strategies
  • Ensure candidate data is managed in line with data protection regulations and best practice
  • Stay informed on market trends, salaries and competitor activity

What you’ll bring
  • Proven experience recruiting across a range of roles and seniority levels
  • Strong sourcing capability beyond job adverts (LinkedIn, talent mapping, headhunting)
  • Confidence engaging with technical professionals
  • Experience using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools effectively

Why join Reed Professional Services?
  • Flexible working – hybrid model with a choice of Birmingham, Northampton or London base
  • Be part of a well-established and trusted brand, with a strong reputation in the market
  • Opportunity to own and shape recruitment delivery and influence hiring decisions
  • Access to ongoing learning and development, supporting your career progression
  • Work in a collaborative and supportive environment, where knowledge sharing is encouraged
  • Exposure to a diverse range of technical and consultancy roles, building valuable market expertise
  • Autonomy and responsibility in your role, with visibility across the business
  • Be part of a business that values clear communication, innovation and continuous improvement
