As the Talent Acquisition Specialist you will play a pivotal role in revolutionizing our approach to sourcing and onboarding technical and science-oriented talent, adapting seamlessly to the ever-evolving landscape of qualified and diverse candidates. Federal GovCon recruiting experience is a must! This position is remote, but candidate must be local to the Maryland, DC or Virginia area.

  • Creatively use full lifecycle recruiting techniques to build and engage networks, assess and hire qualified talent, including those requiring security clearances.
  • Source active and passive candidates from a variety of channels and communities: online and internal databases, employee referrals, events, networking, research, etc.
  • Utilize a mix of targeted sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, industry-specific platforms, and networking, to identify and engage potential candidates with security clearances.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies tailored to the specific needs of each role including those with security clearance requirements.
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations to ensure recruitment practices align with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Advise, educate, and consult with hiring managers on their recruiting requirements, while describing to them your specific strategy, and market conditions for given roles.

Recruit

  • Thoroughly assess candidates' qualifications, including their skills, experiences, and security clearance levels, to determine their suitability for specific roles.
  • Review resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and perform in-depth interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers/technical screening committees, ensuring a smooth and efficient interview process.
  • Plan and execute the interview process by communicating expectations, feedback, and status information to candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders throughout the selection process.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of security-cleared candidates, ensuring a consistent pool of talent for current and future openings.
  • Prepare and extend job offers to successful candidates, negotiating terms and conditions as needed, and managing the offer acceptance process.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from initial contact to offer acceptance.
  • Advocate for both company and candidate throughout the hiring process; establish regular touchpoints and provide diligent follow through resulting in an outstanding candidate experience.
  • Collaborate with HR and compliance teams to ensure that all hiring processes and documentation align with security clearance regulations and guidelines.

GROWTH Support

  • Support BD Team on proposal recruiting efforts. Attend regular proposal meetings and actively contribute to proposal development by keeping the team up to date on recruiting efforts.
  • Work with internal and external proposal candidates to draft resumes in STS format to address qualifications required for roles specified in proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Education

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of education and experience.
  • 5-7+ years of recruitment experience at the intersection of technology, science and government contracting (govcon) a must.
  • Experience recruiting technicians, engineers, and project leaders with active DOD security clearances up to TS/SCI with Polygraph (Desired).
  • Strong understanding of recruitment marketing trends, coupled with intrinsic enthusiasm for customer experience, technological advancements, and innovative practices.
  • This position is remote, but candidate must be local to the Maryland, DC or Virginia area.
