We are looking for a proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to deliver high-quality talent acquisition support across our organisation. The role is three days per week on a 12 month maximum term contact basis.
In this role, you will partner with leaders to understand workforce needs, source and engage top talent, and ensure Afford has the right people in the right roles at the right time.
You will manage end-to-end recruitment processes, provide expert advice, and use data-driven insights to shape workforce planning strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about creating a positive candidate experience while championing diversity and inclusion.
Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Partnering with leaders across the business to address recruitment challenges and develop workforce planning strategies.
- Managing end-to-end recruitment for individual and volume hires, ensuring compliance and system accuracy.
- Using advanced sourcing techniques and market insights to attract high-quality candidates.
- Providing regular reporting on recruitment metrics and trends.
- Delivering a positive, personalised candidate experience and strengthening our Employee Value Proposition.
- Training and supporting hiring managers on best-practice recruitment processes.
- Coordinating compelling job ads aligned with our brand.
- Staying informed on industry changes and competitor movements.
- Contributing to organisational projects, policies, and diversity initiatives.
About You
- Diploma or higher in Human Resources or related field (or working towards it).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proven success partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and recruitment systems (experience with PageUp desirable).
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of the disability or community services sector is desirable.
