Job Description

Talent Acquisition Specialist (Bilingual French Preferred) 
Location: Canada (Full Time Remote) 
Employment Type: 12-Month Fixed Term

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role you will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract, engage, and hire top talent while ensuring a positive candidate experience. This position requires a proactive recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in leveraging innovative recruitment strategies to attract talent. 

What you’ll do

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for various roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies. 
  • Conduct reference checks, negotiate job offers, and support onboarding processes. 
  • Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) best practices are embedded in all recruitment efforts. 
  • Utilize SmartRecruiters (Applicant Tracking System) and other HRIS systems to manage candidate pipelines, report, and ensure compliance with hiring best practices. 
  • Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies, including social media recruiting, networking, and talent mapping. 
  • Maintain accurate records and provide recruitment analytics and reports as required. 
  • Stay current on recruitment trends and employment legislation to ensure best practices. 

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, in a similar size corporate or centralized Talent Acquisition function is required. 
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • CPHR or other related recruitment designation preferred.  
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as SmartRecruiters and HRIS tools. 
  • Experience in employer branding, recruitment marketing, and leveraging social media for talent attraction. 
  • Ability to orient and teach leaders & P&C teams on full cycle recruitment cycle process. 
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates. 
  • Strong digital literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Bilingual in French and English (preferred but not required). 
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
