What You’ll Do:

 

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed in this position. They are not intended to prescribe or restrict the assignments that management may make.

 

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process (sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer negotiation, and onboarding) for positions across multiple disciplines in the A&E industry.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, project requirements, and team dynamics to develop targeted recruitment strategies.
  • Proactively source qualified candidates using job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking events, industry associations, employee referrals, and other creative channels.
  • Maintain and grow a talent pipeline for hard-to-fill and frequently recruited positions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing market insights and guidance on selection decisions.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with external recruiting agencies and search firms to ensure alignment with hiring needs, negotiate favorable terms, and support the timely delivery of qualified candidates.
  • Represent the company at career fairs, professional associations, and university recruiting events to strengthen employer brand presence in the A&E industry.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, conversion rates, source effectiveness, candidate drop-off points) to evaluate the effectiveness of sourcing strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, EEO, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in recruitment processes, systems, and candidate
  • Provide actionable insights and quarterly reporting to People & Culture leadership.
  • Maintain data integrity in the ATS and HRIS to ensure accurate records and reporting.
  • Recommend process improvements based on data trends and market intelligence.
  • Manage a high-volume workload and multiple priorities simultaneously with an orientation toward customer focus and results.

 

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

 

  • A Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of Talent Acquisition or recruiting experience, preferably in technical or specialized fields.
  • Previous experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other similar platforms.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant Federal/State/Local laws and best practices.
  • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment, juggling multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees, build partnerships and direct teams.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Paycom, or similar ATS platforms.
  • Prior involvement in employer branding initiatives or recruitment marketing.
  • Knowledge of current compensation trends in the A&E industry.

Working Environment:

This role involves both physical and mental demands and may be performed in various settings, including offices, construction sites, and confined spaces like elevator pits. Tasks often require frequent movement in multiple directions. Lerch Bates will provide reasonable accommodations upon request through Human Resources.

 

Physical Demands:

This role requires regular sitting, talking, and hearing in meetings and by phone. Employees must navigate tight spaces, climb ladders, move around construction sites, take measurements, and travel by car, air, or rail. Duties may involve working at heights and in confined spaces, using hands for tasks like typing and operating elevator components, and applying up to 30 lbs. of force. Close visual attention is also required.

 

Mental Demands:

This position requires strong written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Employees must interpret complex information, apply mathematical and logical reasoning, quickly learn new skills, and manage detailed, multitask workloads under shifting deadlines. Regular interaction with executives, colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders is also expected.

 

 

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test. The drug test includes screening for marijuana, regardless of state or local laws permitting its use. A conditional offer of employment will be rescinded if a candidate fails either the background check or the drug test.
