We are now looking for a remote Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team and support our continued expansion.
Job Overview:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle recruiting process for all regional professional positions across GAT Airline Ground Support’s 40+ operations in the East, Central, and West Coast regions. This role will focus on recruiting for salaried managerial roles, administrative positions, recruiters, and mechanic-related positions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional recruiting skills, the ability to engage with hiring managers, and a strong understanding of leadership talent needs.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic position that requires someone who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and adaptable. As a key player in our talent acquisition team, you will help us identify, attract, and hire top-tier talent for a variety of roles, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage the end-to-end recruiting process for regional professional positions, including salaried, managerial, administrative, recruiter, and mechanic-related roles across GAT Airline Ground Support’s US operations.
Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and qualifications. Develop tailored recruitment strategies and job postings to attract qualified candidates.
Candidate Sourcing & Outreach: Utilize a variety of sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach, to identify and engage potential candidates for open positions.
Screening & Interviewing: Conduct initial candidate screenings and phone interviews. Evaluate candidate qualifications, skills, and cultural fit based on position requirements.
Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and efficient experience for all candidates throughout the recruiting process. Maintain clear and consistent communication with candidates regarding the status of their applications and next steps.
Offer Negotiation & Onboarding: Present offers to candidates and negotiate compensation packages where appropriate. Guide candidates through the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into their new role.
Recruiting Strategy: Develop a talent acquisition strategy in alignment with GAT’s operational needs, keeping regional differences and trends in mind.
Recruiting for Corporate Roles: Occasionally handle recruiting efforts for corporate positions at GAT’s headquarters across various departments.
Data Management & Reporting: Track and maintain recruiting metrics and reports. Provide regular updates to management on recruiting progress, candidate pipeline, and any challenges faced during the hiring process.
Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all recruiting activities comply with company policies and relevant labor laws. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in recruiting.
Other Duties as Assigned: Support other recruitment and HR-related initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably within the aviation, transportation, logistics, or other related industries.
Proven experience in hiring for salaried, managerial, and administrative roles. Corporate recruiting experience is a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of recruiting strategies and talent sourcing techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
Knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruiting tools.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel regionally as needed (approximately 10-15% of the time).
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
