Role Scope:

Kent are seeing a Talent Acquisition Specialist - Bluecollar. This is a temporary assignment for approximately three months and would be the perfect fit for someone looking to ease into a new role for 2026. In this role, you will primarily support our Brisbane Projects team, with a strong focus on blue-collar recruitment.

Working out of our trendy and vibrant South Brisbane office, you will join a supportive team that prides itself on a strong, people-focused culture. You will also enjoy the option of flexible working, giving you the balance that you need to perform at your best.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate all phases of the recruitment process for mainly blue collar candidates.
  • Collaborate with project manager, construction manager and superintendents to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards and needs of Kent.
  • Utilise the procedures, standards and processes for job postings. 
  • Screens applications and recommends qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews, preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, conduct interviews with hiring managers.
  • Check’s candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records on the internal applicant tracking system.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving overall candidate experience.
  • Recruit in line with the Kent Equality, Diversity and Inclusion plan.
  • Prepare and maintain recruitment reports including weekly reporting requirements.
  • Any other adhoc requests from the Talent Acquisition Lead

 

About You:

Our ideal candidate will be a high-volume Blue-Collar Recruiter with at least three years of experience in blue-collar recruitment. You will bring strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, excellent organisation and time management and the ability to work efficiently under high volumes. Integrity, professionalism and confidentiality are essential. Experience in using Oracle will be highly advantageous. You will be a natural collaborator with solid negotiation skills, able to assess situations quickly and adapt to shifting priorities.
