DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Sourcer is responsible for proactively identifying, engaging, and pre‑screening qualified candidates for select positions as designated by Talent Acquisition leadership. This role is focused exclusively on talent sourcing, initial outreach, and pre‑screening activities and does not include offer development, compensation discussions or full-cycle recruiting responsibilities.
The Sourcer plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong candidate pipelines, improving speed-to-fill, and ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate experience at the earliest stages of the recruitment process.
Core Responsibilities:

- Sourcing & Pipeline Development
- Proactively source candidates for designated roles using multiple channels, including:
- Applicant tracking system (ATS)
- LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Job boards and resume databases
- Referrals and passive candidate outreach
- Build and maintain active talent pipelines for priority and hard-to-fill roles
- Conduct targeted sourcing campaigns aligned with workforce needs and recruiting priorities
- Track and manage sourced candidates within the ATS to ensure data accuracy and compliance
Pre‑Screening & Candidate Engagement
- Conduct initial pre‑screening calls for select positions as assigned by management
- Assess candidate qualifications, experience, licensure/certifications (as applicable), availability, and general role alignment
- Provide candidates with high-level information about the organization, role expectations, and next steps
- Document screening outcomes and candidate feedback clearly and consistently in the ATS\
- Advance qualified candidates to the assigned Recruiter or Hiring Team per established workflows
Collaboration & Process Support
- Partner closely with assigned Recruiters to align sourcing strategies with open requisitions
- Participate in intake discussions as needed to understand role requirements and candidate profiles
- Support recruiter workload by maintaining a steady flow of pre‑qualified candidates
- Escalate candidate concerns, availability constraints, or red flags appropriately
Compliance & Best Practices
- Adhere to all Talent Acquisition interviewing standards, compliance requirements, and documentation expectations
- Ensure screening practices align with EEOC guidelines and organizational policies
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the candidate engagement process
This role does not include:
- Offer development or offer extension
- Compensation discussions or negotiations
- Reference checks or final verification steps
- Hiring manager interview coordination beyond initial handoff
- Full-cycle requisition ownership
Required Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in talent sourcing, recruiting coordination, or candidate screening
- Experience conducting structured phone or virtual pre‑screening interviews
- Familiarity with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Ability to manage multiple sourcing priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Competencies
- Experience supporting healthcare, clinical, or high-volume recruiting environments (preferred)
- Strong judgment in assessing candidate fit at the screening stage
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to track sourcing activity and outcomes
- Collaborative approach with recruiters and internal stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, process-driven environment
