Part-Time Contracted Role


Ocean Estate Law is seeking an experienced recruiting professional to help us attract, hire, and onboard exceptional team members as we continue to grow. This is a part-time, project-based independent contractor role focused primarily on talent acquisition, with the opportunity to support broader HR initiatives as needed.


We’re not looking for a traditional in-house HR generalistβ€”we’re looking for a proactive, results-driven recruiter who knows how to find great people, engage them, and bring them into a high-performing team.

Compensation & Structure

  • Contracted role
  • Part-time / project-based (hours will vary based on hiring needs)
  • Hourly rate: $30/hour (with potential for growth based on performance and scope)Β 

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting (Primary Focus)

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring
  • Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract top talent
  • Draft and post job descriptions aligned with firm culture and role expectations
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess both skillset and culture fit
  • Manage candidate pipeline and ensure a smooth, high-touch candidate experience
  • Collaborate with leadership on hiring needs, role design, and compensation insights
  • Assist with onboarding coordination to ensure new hires are set up for success


HR & People Operations (Secondary / As Needed)

  • Provide input on HR best practices, policies, and systems
  • Support development of onboarding processes and materials
  • Assist with occasional HR projects (handbooks, performance review systems, etc.)
  • Ensure hiring practices remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations
  • Proven success in recruiting and talent acquisition (agency or in-house)
  • Strong track record of filling professional roles (legal industry experience is a plus, but not required)
  • Excellent communication and candidate engagement skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple roles and priorities
  • Self-starter who can work independently and deliver results
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn recruiting, and modern sourcing tools
