Job Description:

Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.

When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other.  We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.

Caterpillar is seeking an individual contributor responsible for proactive talent sourcing across Caterpillar’s Construction Industries (CI). We are looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Sourcer who thrives in the art and science of search. This is a true sourcing-led role for someone who enjoys building pipelines ahead of demand, influencing leaders with market insights, and partnering deeply with recruiters to solve complex talent challenges.

This role is designed for someone who wants to grow, expand their impact, and help shape how we recruit scarce and business-critical talent globally.

If you enjoy the art of the search, storytelling through data, and building talent strategies—not just filling requisitions—this role is for you.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain proactive pipelines (often without open requisitions) for critical and hard-to-find skill sets
  • Partner with recruiters as a “recruiter’s recruiter”, helping elevate sourcing capability across the team
  • Provide clear market insights to hiring leaders—what talent exists, where it’s found, and how competitive the market is
  • Lead sourcing strategies for business-critical and scarce skill roles, including Commercial, Manufacturing 4.0, and Rental talent segments
  • Run pipelines at scale using CRM tools (e.g., Beamery) and sourcing events such as Sourcing Jams
  • Leverage AI-first sourcing approaches to build data-backed market and talent strategies
  • Independently manage sourcing initiatives while collaborating closely with recruiters during high-volume or urgent periods
  • Take ownership of sourcing scorecards and candidate evaluation frameworks
  • Support ongoing initiatives such as the MSOD Advocate Program

What You Will Have:

  • An experienced sourcer or TA partner who loves search, research, and market intelligence
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking thoughtful questions—while maintaining strong partnerships
  • Data-savvy and confident telling stories through insights, not just dashboards
  • Experienced with CRM tools and modern sourcing platforms
  • Curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow into a broader leadership or strategic role
  • Able to operate independently while collaborating effectively with recruiters and leaders

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills)

Strategic Sourcing & Business Partnership

  • Lead sourcing for critical, niche, and hard‑to‑fill technical, commercial and manufacturing roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers and CI business/HR leaders to understand demand and workforce priorities.
  • Build role‑specific, market‑informed sourcing strategies.

Pipeline Management & Candidate Engagement

  • Identify, engage, and nurture passive technical, commercial and manufacturing talent.
  • Build long‑term pipelines aligned to forecasted needs.
  • Deliver strong candidate and hiring manager experiences.

Market Intelligence & Insights

  • Provide insight on talent availability, competitor activity, and sourcing feasibility.
  • Share regular updates on market conditions and outreach performance.
  • Support hiring and workforce planning with external labor market data.

Advanced Sourcing Methods & Tools

  • Use advanced sourcing across LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday, Beamery, and other channels.

What Success Looks Like

  • Slate quality: Consistent hire‑ready passive candidates.
  • Passive conversion: Strong engagement from outreach to interview.
  • Pipeline viability: Sustainable pipelines aligned to future demand.
