Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across editorial, creative, product, sales, marketing, and corporate functions, with a focus on senior-level and business-critical hires.
  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand organizational priorities and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor by providing market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and attract high-caliber passive talent.
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Hearst's culture, values, and commitment to excellence.
  • Leverage recruiting metrics, market data, and talent insights to evaluate hiring effectiveness and continuously improve outcomes.
  • Contribute to talent acquisition initiatives that enhance recruiting processes, operational efficiency, and overall team performance.


Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success recruiting senior-level and business-critical talent across multiple business functions.
  • Experience supporting a combination of editorial, creative, product, sales, marketing, and corporate hiring.
  • Strong consultative, relationship-building, and influencing skills with the ability to partner effectively with hiring managers and business leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative sourcing strategies and successfully engage passive talent for complex or hard-to-fill positions.
  • Experience using recruiting data, market intelligence, and talent insights to inform hiring decisions.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
  • Experience in media, publishing, digital content, entertainment, or a related industry is preferred.
  • Experience supporting recruiting processes within government contracting, regulated industries, or compliance-focused environments is preferred.
  • Hybrid work schedule requiring four days per week in our New York City office.

The base salary range for this role is $80,000-$115,000. This position is not eligible for bonus or commission compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
