About Magnolia Wealth Strategies

Magnolia Wealth Strategies is a general agency of MassMutual, serving individuals, families, and small businesses across the Gulf South through 5 core office locations and over 40 detached offices in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida. Magnolia Wealth is proud to be one of the industry's premier distribution organizations β€” known for strong Advisors and holistic financial planning. We're a place where Advisors come to build their business, not just do it, guided by five core values: Be 100% Accountable, Do the Right Thing, Grow or Die, Have Fun, and Win.

Our culture rests on a holistic, team-based approach β€” each Advisor is backed by specialists in investments and insurance β€” paired with an entrepreneurial spirit that lets you build a practice tailored to your clients. New Advisors are supported through the Magnolia Way, our structured development path with hands-on training, mentorship, and clear milestones from licensing through your first three years, so you're never building alone.

Role Description

The Talent Acquisition Partner is a proactive, sales-oriented talent acquisition professional responsible for building and advancing a qualified pipeline of prospective financial advisors within an assigned market. The role creates candidate activity through direct sourcing, referrals, networking, community relationships, targeted outreach, disciplined follow-up, and consistent use of recruiting systems.

This is not a passive, post-and-wait recruiting role. The Talent Acquisition Partner identifies prospects, initiates conversations, uncovers motivations, assesses preliminary fit, and cultivates relationships over time. The role primarily supports inexperienced and developing advisor recruiting while contributing to experienced-advisor sourcing as directed by the Executive Director of Talent Management.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys business development, relationship-building, market ownership, and helping people explore a meaningful financial-advisor career.

Responsibilities

  • Translate annual firm goals into an assigned-market and pipeline plan aligned with Magnolia's advisor-persona and territory priorities.
  • Generate prospects through direct outreach, approved databases, referrals, social media, job boards, events, community relationships, and professional networks.
  • Conduct consistent, personalized outreach informed by relevant candidate research and market knowledge.
  • Build centers-of-influence, educational, professional, advisor, employee, and community relationships that produce referrals.
  • Conduct discovery conversations that uncover motivation, goals, experience, licensing status, business-development potential, coachability, resilience, and preliminary fit.
  • Maintain long-term candidate relationships and provide a responsive, respectful, and professional candidate experience.
  • Use the Agency Tracking System (ATS) to manage outreach, candidate motivations, stages, ownership, next steps, follow-up dates, source data, and pipeline reporting.
  • Partner with Branch Leaders, training leaders, producing advisors, licensing and onboarding, Marketing, and Home Office recruiting resources.
  • Represent Magnolia professionally in the market and communicate its culture, advisor opportunity, supported-independence model, and business resources accurately.
  • Provide complete candidate information, coordinate timely handoffs, and follow applicable employment, privacy, licensing, compliance, and documentation requirements.

What Great Looks Like

  • A consistent, qualified candidate pipeline supporting Magnolia's annual recruiting goals and priority advisor profiles.
  • Recruiting activity is proactive, balanced across sources, and adjusted using actual conversion and quality data.
  • Candidates receive timely communication, thoughtful discovery, clear next steps, and a professional experience.
  • ATS records, pipeline stages, follow-up commitments, and forecasts are complete and current.
  • Branch Leaders and internal partners receive well-qualified, engaged candidates and accurate handoffs.
  • The Talent Acquisition Partner builds visible, productive referral and community relationships within the assigned market.
  • The Talent Acquisition Partner demonstrates growing fluency in Magnolia's business, the advisor career, licensing expectations, and the qualities associated with advisor success.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally within insurance, financial services, wealth management, or another sales-oriented professional-services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success with proactive sourcing, passive-candidate engagement, business development, or relationship-based sales.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, discovery, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR or recruiting technology; experience with platforms such as JobScore is helpful.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, candidates, deadlines, and follow-up commitments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with insurance or financial-services products, terminology, licensing requirements, and regulatory considerations is preferred.
  • Ability to use data and market feedback to refine sourcing strategies and improve recruiting outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accurate candidate and pipeline records.
  • Ability to build trust with hiring leaders, advisors, community partners, educational institutions, and professional networks.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms and digital recruiting trends is a plus.
