We’re on the lookout for a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner who’s eager to help scale a fast-growing startup and build something truly great.

You’ll partner closely with hiring managers—many of whom are new to the hiring process—to refine our approach, provide guidance, and ensure we’re bringing in the right talent to fuel Ground News’ mission. Please note: This is a remote role with occasional travel required.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process—from sourcing and screening to scheduling interviews, facilitating interview debriefs, and closing candidates.
  • Manage multiple roles across departments, balancing technical and non-technical hiring needs with ease.
  • Be a trusted advisor to hiring managers, providing insights and guidance on market trends, candidate experience, and process improvements.
  • Develop and optimize sourcing strategies, using creative outreach methods to attract and engage top talent.
  • Ensure an outstanding candidate experience, from first contact to final offer.
  • Help build and document scalable recruiting processes, making hiring more efficient and effective for candidates and hiring managers alike.
  • Champion Ground News’ employer brand by promoting our culture and values in the talent market.
  • Collaborate with the People team to continuously improve and refine how we hire.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proven expertise in technical recruiting, with experience hiring for roles in Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Design.
  • Versatile recruiter who enjoys working on a mix of technical and business roles and isn’t afraid of challenging searches and tough to fill roles.
  • Excited about building and improving processes—you’re excited to create structured hiring practices that scale.
  • Strong relationship-builder who can gain trust with hiring managers and advise them about market trends, candidate experience, and when interview processes might need changing or adapting. 
  • Confident and knowledgeable–you are comfortable influencing at all levels across the business and you aren’t afraid to respectfully challenge decisions when needed, providing data-driven insights and strategic guidance to ensure the best hiring outcomes.
  • High level of ownership—you take initiative, solve problems proactively, and own the hiring process end to end.
  • Highly collaborative—you love working closely with internal teams, experimenting with new ideas, and continuously improving how hiring is done.
  • Curious, adaptable, and resilient—you are naturally curious, not afraid to ask the tough questions and engage in discourse with candidates and hiring managers + you embrace change (we’re growing fast, and change is constant!) 
  • Passionate about making an impact—on your team, our hiring strategy, and Ground News’ overall success.

  • Experience with Ashby, our ATS. 
  • Previous experience joining a startup in its early stages and helping to build and scale recruitment functions.
