Objective:

The Talent Manager acts as a strategic partner in both talent acquisition and talent management, guiding hiring managers through the full recruitment lifecycle while supporting the development and retention of high-performing teams. This role combines hands-on recruiting with strategic workforce planning, employer branding, and talent development initiatives, including coaching, performance management, and employee engagement. The Talent Manager will deliver an exceptional candidate and employee experience while driving talent strategies aligned with organizational goals.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with Hiring Managers across all entities to assess workforce needs and align talent strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for roles ranging from professional to complex and senior-level positions, including sourcing, assessment, interviewing, and offer negotiation.
  • Manage and develop the Talent team, providing coaching, direction, and oversight to ensure consistent execution and high-quality delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to Hiring Managers on talent market trends, compensation insights, and hiring strategies.
  • Design and execute sourcing strategies to build and maintain strong talent pipelines through LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other channels.
  • Oversee ATS implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance to ensure system effectiveness and data integrity.
  • Deliver regular talent analytics and reporting, providing insights on hiring metrics, pipeline health, and workforce trends to support decision-making.
  • Ensure a positive and consistent candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including communication, interviews, and onboarding transition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external recruiters and staffing partners to support hiring needs.
  • Support employer branding initiatives to promote company culture and strengthen talent attraction efforts.
  • Coordinate and support onboarding programs, new hire orientation, and M&A-related talent integration as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and recruitment best practices.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve talent acquisition and onboarding processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to broader talent management initiatives, including employee engagement, retention, and internal mobility efforts.

 

Requirements:

  • Education – High School graduate/GED required.
  • Minimum 6 years of talent acquisition experience
  • Must have prior management experience leading and developing a recruiting or talent team
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking system platforms.
  • Experienced in sourcing through social media and web-based recruiting platforms.
  • Must have a strong presence and be able to articulate oneself well on the phone, in person, and email.
  • Must be coachable and a collaborative team player.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office: namely Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills required.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000. The offer will depend on the geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. This role is eligible to participate in a competitive quarterly incentive program.
