What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing Talent Acquisition team, making sure they have the structure, support and direction needed to deliver amazing results for our clients and candidates.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own team performance, delivery against SLAs and KPIs, and the overall quality of the recruitment service we provide.

Your ability to lead from the front, create accountability, navigate change and transformation, and get the very best from your team will be what makes you successful in this role.

You’ll be working closely with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership to make sure recruitment delivery is on track, performance is visible and the team is continuously improving.

Typical activities include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a team of 5+ Talent Acquisition professionals, creating a high-performance culture where people know what great looks like
  • Owning team delivery, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and agreed performance measures are consistently achieved
  • Setting clear objectives and expectations for the team and holding people accountable for delivery
  • Using data, reporting and market insight to identify performance trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Working closely with client stakeholders and internal leadership to understand priorities, manage expectations and ensure excellent delivery
  • Navigating the team through periods of transformation, change and evolving processes, keeping people engaged and focused throughout
  • Identifying opportunities to improve recruitment processes, capability and ways of working
  • Supporting and developing recruiters through regular coaching, feedback, 121s and performance conversations
  • Managing escalations and performance challenges effectively, taking ownership and finding solutions
  • Acting as a senior point of contact for the client, building trusted relationships and positioning Join Talent as a strategic recruitment partner
  • Ensuring the team delivers an exceptional candidate and client experience whilst protecting the client's brand, culture and values
  • Working collaboratively with other TA leaders and internal teams to share best practice and continuously improve our delivery model

Role Requirements

  • Strong understanding of recruitment delivery within an in-house, RPO or agency environment
  • A genuine passion for developing people and creating high-performing recruitment teams
  • Comfortable working with KPIs, SLAs, dashboards and recruitment data to drive performance
  • Confident presenting performance, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Able to operate effectively in a changing and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance client expectations with team capacity and capability
  • A natural problem solver who takes ownership rather than waiting for someone else to fix things

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading and managing a Talent Acquisition or Recruitment team of 5+ people
  • Strong track record of managing team performance against KPIs and SLAs
  • Demonstrable experience coaching, developing and motivating recruiters
  • Experience navigating teams through transformation, change or significant business/process change
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leadership
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse recruitment performance and turn insights into action
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational and delivery management capability
  • Commercially minded with a focus on outcomes and client experience
  • Confident managing difficult conversations and addressing underperformance
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
  • Self-motivated, pragmatic and solutions-focused
  • Charisma – in this role your ability to engage, influence and bring people with you will be a huge factor in your success
  • Teamwork – little room in a growing company for ‘lone wolves’; collaboration and a genuine desire to make the people around you better will be key

A bit about us…

Join Talent is a great place to be. We are EMEA's fastest growing Recruitment insourcing business (boutique RPO or embedded talent solution – we are not precious about the term!). Whatever you call it, it is in-house at pace!

Our ethos is scarily simple – we hire amazingly talented recruiters and recruitment leaders, support them really well, and provide them with a fantastic set of tools to create hiring success.

Companies often talk about how they put people first, we mean it to the bottom of our souls – and if you want to use your TA leadership experience to check that out just message anyone from our team of over 200 recruiters and ask them for their views on how well we do at putting our team first and creating a great culture.

We provide growing businesses with the technology, manpower and expertise required to enable them to hire, onboard and manage the talent they need to meet their growth plans. Our model provides flexibility and pace for rapid deployment of hiring scale-up solutions.

Established in early 2019, Join Talent is in many respects the ‘new kid on the block’ in the market, but we support some of the world's most exciting brands, and have over 200 team members across 19 countries today... and still growing!

We work in an industry agnostic manner, and this is reflected in the diversity of our clients who include companies as diverse as Amazon, OnBuy, Mambu, Zego, Booking.com, Celonis and Frontiers.
