Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports AWP Safety’s high-volume frontline hiring strategy by executing and optimizing core recruiting operations across the full hire lifecycle. This role ensures a seamless, compliant, and efficient candidate journey from application through onboarding for thousands of annual hires.

The Coordinator partners closely with Recruiters, TA Leadership, Field Operations, HR, and external vendors to drive hiring execution for Protector (flagger) and other frontline roles. This role operates within SmartRecruiters and leverages Paradox conversational AI, Harver assessments, and background screening workflows to ensure speed, accuracy, and compliance at scale.

This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role requiring operational discipline, data accuracy, and strong cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Hiring Lifecycle Execution

  • Coordinate background screening and drug testing processes
  • Review background check results and clear candidates in accordance with company standards
  • Trigger and track Harver assessment completion and eligibility status
  • Monitor Paradox automation workflows and escalate exceptions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations

Offer & Onboarding Administration

  • Generate and distribute offer documentation
  • Schedule candidates into New Hire Orientation and safety training
  • Coordinate IT access and equipment readiness for day one
  • Manage new hire kit fulfillment and distribution
  • Ensure timely and accurate onboarding documentation completion

Recruitment Operations Support

  • Post and maintain requisitions in SmartRecruiters and external job boards
  • Support data integrity and workflow accuracy within the ATS
  • Identify bottlenecks and escalate process delays
  • Maintain hiring trackers and support reporting needs for TA leadership
  • Partner with TA Operations to ensure process standardization and continuous improvement

Candidate Experience

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidate inquiries
  • Ensure consistent communication throughout the hiring process
  • Resolve candidate issues promptly and professionally
  • Support recruiting marketing events, including high school, community, and job fair initiatives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in recruiting coordination, high-volume hiring, HR support, or customer service
  • Experience working in an Applicant Tracking System (SmartRecruiters preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requisitions and workflows simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and compliance awareness

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
  • Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
  • 40-hour work week Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
  • Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • Proficient literacy
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
