*This position is located onsite at our Escondido location.
Participates as active member of Talent Acquisition Team to help ensure the design, management, and administration of hiring and employment programs that support and align with the strategic plan, mission, vision, and core values of Palomar Health. Facilitates collaboration with applicants, peers, managers, and all other stakeholders, both internally and externally. Sources, screens, and also markets positions to candidates including compensation and benefit overview. Creates and maintains a climate of effective communication with all stakeholders. Initiate and maintain collaborative partnership with hiring managers, developing recruitment plans and knowledge of position control. Develops job advertisements, determining who is an applicant, evaluating applicants utilizing behavioral interviewing techniques, fosters effective applicant and candidate communication, and creates a candidate pool for selection. Maintains working knowledge of technology, applicant tracking, statistics, workforce projections, and industry trends. Assists the Manager, Talent Acquisition with the establishment of best practices by maintaining continuing education through local, state or national sources, reading applicable periodicals/journals and/or attending pertinent professional conferences.Ā 

Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: 3 years previously demonstrated full recruitment cycle with strong emphasis on recruitment and staffing
Preferred Experience: 4 - 5 years full recruitment cycle with a health care emphasis
Nurse recruitment experience in an acute care setting with multi-site experience
Required Certification: Not Applicable
Preferred Certification: Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR)
Required License: Valid Driver's License
Preferred License: Not Applicable
