RH Strategic is seeking an experienced in-house Talent Acquisition professional to lead and execute the firm’s recruiting strategy while supporting employee development and engagement initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing the recruitment process—from role scoping and candidate sourcing through offer and acceptance—while ensuring a high-quality, consistent candidate experience that reflects RH Strategic’s standards and culture.
This individual will work closely with firm leadership and hiring teams to identify, attract, and secure top talent, while also strengthening internal interviewing practices and contributing to broader talent initiatives, such as employee performance and engagement programs.
This is a full-time role based in Washington, D.C., requiring an in-office presence of at least three days per week. To be qualified, candidates must currently reside in the DMV metro area.
RH Strategic is a well-established public relations agency with a robust client portfolio across technology, cybersecurity, healthcare, government, sustainability, and education industries.
Responsibilities include:
- Talent Acquisition & Candidate Management
- Partner with firm leadership and hiring managers to understand team needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles, including participation in intake meetings.
- Source, identify, and engage qualified candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Conduct screening interviews to assess candidate qualifications, alignment, and interest level.
- Present candidate shortlists, resumes, and detailed summaries with insights and recommendations.
- Manage and coordinate the full interview process, including scheduling, preparing candidates with context on the role, team, and expectations, and communicating with candidates, internal stakeholders, and human resources.
- Administer candidate skills assessments and ensure timely completion and evaluation.
- Conduct reference checks prior to offer stage.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a professional, responsive, and engaging experience throughout the process.
- Support and strengthen RH Strategic’s employer brand by communicating the firm’s value proposition clearly and consistently to candidates; partner with marketing on outreach messaging.
- Build and actively maintain a network of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs; engage universities, professional associations, and industry networks to support pipeline development.
- Maintain and organize candidate data within systems (e.g., BambooHR or ATS) to support ongoing engagement.
- Talent Strategy, Process Improvement & Program Support
- Train and coach RH Strategic employees on effective interviewing techniques and best practices.
- Standardize interview frameworks, including defining the purpose and expectations of each stage, along with evaluation criteria and feedback collection to improve consistency and quality of hiring decisions.
- Continuously assess and refine the interview process to ensure efficiency, fairness, and alignment with firm values.
- Partner with talent leadership to identify hiring trends, gaps, and opportunities across the firm.
- Support new employee onboarding, including collaboration with teams and talent managers. Support offboarding.
- Assist in the administration and analysis of employee engagement surveys, including synthesizing results and contributing to action planning efforts.
- Partner with talent leadership and managers to support performance management and professional development efforts, including feedback tracking and growth planning within systems such as Lattice.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a recruiting role, preferably within a professional services or agency environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes across multiple roles simultaneously.
- Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
- Experience training or coaching internal teams on interviewing best practices.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR platforms (specifically BambooHR and LinkedIn Talent Solutions).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 annually
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. The Company may, in its discretion, also offer an annual bonus in an amount, if any, to be determined by the Company. Bonuses are not guaranteed.
