Specialist, Talent Acquisition

JOB SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a critical role in supporting high-volume recruiting by rapidly engaging incoming candidate leads and moving talent efficiently through the early stages of the hiring process. This role prioritizes speed, responsiveness, and candidate experience while partnering closely with recruiters to conduct prescreens, coordinate and review interview responses, manage TA workflows, and maintain accurate pipeline data. The Specialist operates in a fast-paced environment and serves as a key connector between candidates, recruiters, and hiring events.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Lead Engagement & Candidate Outreach

  • Lead rapid-response candidate engagement strategies for inbound talent pipelines, for ex: job boards and marketing channels, ensuring timely outreach and conversion of qualified prospects.
  • Manage multi-channel candidate communications via text, phone and/or email to assess interest, guide next steps, and maintain a high-quality candidate experience throughout early recruitment stages.
  • Design and execute targeted outreach initiatives, including large-scale text and email campaigns, to activate both active and passive talent pools.
  • Drive proactive sourcing efforts across job boards and external platforms, leveraging market insight and recruiting strategy to build strong, ready talent pipelines.

Prescreening & Interview Coordination

  • Conduct strategic pre-screen evaluations to assess candidate interest, availability, location alignment, and baseline qualifications, ensuring only viable talent advances in the process.
  • Establish clear candidate expectations regarding hiring stages, timelines, and requirements to drive transparency, engagement, and process efficiency.
  • Coordinate and oversee interview logistics, including scheduling recruiter screens, distributing interview links, and proactively managing follow-ups to ensure timely completion.
  • Track and analyze interview pipeline activity, monitoring completion rates, responsiveness, and movement to maintain momentum and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate completed interviews for quality and role alignment, determining readiness for progression based on established selection criteria.
  • Lead structured virtual interviews as needed, applying consistent assessment standards to support sound hiring decisions.

Hiring Recommendations & Documentation

  • Determine and document Recommended for Hire (RFH) status using established criteria.
  • Make real-time hiring recommendations during One-Stop Shop events when appropriate.
  • Disposition candidates accurately and consistently in the applicant tracking system.
  • Ensure all interview outcomes, decisions, and engagement notes are properly documented.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time pipeline data.

Recruiter & Event Support

  • Support recruiters with prescreening, interview setup, and candidate handoffs at defined points.
  • Assist candidates with completing applications for direct placement clients, when applicable.
  • Support One-Stop Shop hiring events (virtual and/or in person), including prescreens and interviews.
  • Support career fairs and job fairs virtually and/or in person.
  • Assist with staffing-related special projects that enhance candidate experience.

Candidate Experience & Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters while maintaining clear role boundaries and handoffs.
  • Uphold a high-quality, equitable, and professional candidate experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Maintain consistency, responsiveness, and professionalism in all candidate interactions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting coordination, or high-volume hiring environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality, accuracy, or candidate experience.
  • Comfortable operating in a metrics-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Moderate Noise (examples: typical office noise)
  • Stand, Walk, Sit (in general office environment)
  • Computer Screen visual in performance of role
  • Lift up to 10 pounds
  • Travel up to 10-20%
  • Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting), provide a clear TB test.
  • Reliable transportation is required to meet the needs of the position.
  • While driving is not a regular requirement of this role, employees who operate a personal or company vehicle for work purposes must maintain a valid driver's license and current auto insurance on file with HR.
Compensation: $70,305
