Check out this video - Genuine Polywood

At POLYWOOD®, we believe in creating spaces that connect people with the outdoors and with each other. We design and build outdoor furniture that’s as durable as it is timeless, using sustainable materials like our genuine POLYWOOD® lumber made from recycled plastics.

But we’re more than a furniture company. We’re makers, storytellers, and problem-solvers who care deeply about craftsmanship, community, and the planet. Our commitment to quality extends beyond our products, it’s reflected in the way we care for our people and the environment they work in.

That’s why safety is at the heart of how we operate. We know that protecting our employees and empowering them to work with confidence is essential to our success. This role is a key part of that mission, helping us uphold high standards of compliance, innovation, and care for the people who make POLYWOOD® possible.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist who thrives on both strategy and execution, someone ready to take our hiring efforts and employee engagement initiatives to the next level. This is a hands-on, full-cycle recruiting role focused primarily on our Roxboro, NC site.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment with well-defined systems to help you succeed, along with an amazing team that collaborates, supports one another, and shares a passion for building a strong, people-first culture.

This role will require being onsite a few days each week at 6:30 a.m., with the flexibility to stay after hours as needed to meet operational demands. We will always aim to minimize after-hours work, but some flexibility is essential to support hiring and onboarding needs across all shifts.

Attention to detail is critical in this position, particularly during onboarding, to ensure that all new employees are accurately and completely set up in our systems.

If you’re energized by connecting with people at all levels of an organization and know how to drive results through smart process, strong outreach, and thoughtful communication, this is your seat at the table!

  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from job posting to offer to onboarding, for manufacturing and shipping/receiving roles
  • Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, craft compelling job ads, and drive candidate pipelines
  • Source passive and active candidates through various channels
  • Manage applicant tracking systems and recruiting workflows with precision
  • Ensure every new hire is set up correctly in our systems and has a smooth, accurate onboarding experience

Strategic Projects

  • Support the Director of Talent Acquisition with projects aimed at reducing turnover, boosting engagement, and enhancing culture
  • Collaborate on internal communication and change management strategies
  • Track and report on recruiting and retention metrics

Employer Branding & Social Media

  • Help manage our employer presence on platforms like LinkedIn, Indeed, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Use tools like Canva to create visually engaging content that reflects our company culture and career opportunities
  • Be a creative voice in how we show up to current and future employees

------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHO YOU ARE:

  • A visionary and executor - you bring big ideas and the follow-through to make them real
  • An experienced recruiter (5+ years preferred) with a strong background in manufacturing and skilled trades hiring
  • A strong communicator - whether you’re writing job posts, coaching a manager, or chatting with candidates on the floor
  • Relatable and adaptable, able to connect across all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and proactive - you manage your time and workload like a pro and know when to loop in leadership
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, especially when it comes to onboarding and system accuracy
  • Comfortable with occasional early mornings (6:30 a.m.) and staying after hours when needed to support shift-based hiring
  • Skilled in using tools like an ATS (Paylocity preferred), Excel/Sheets, and Canva
  • Comfortable working independently, but eager to be part of a collaborative, supportive team
  • HUGE Bonus Points -  You bring creative ideas for enhancing engagement and building belonging
