Role Overview
The People Team Specialist ensures employees have a smooth experience throughout their journey with SOL, from pre-boarding to ongoing support. As the face and voice of the People Team, you’ll manage key processes, including onboarding, benefits administration, and HR operations, all while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-boarding & Onboarding:
- Oversee pre-boarding activities, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Partner with managers and stakeholders to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and ensure first-day arrangements are executed flawlessly.
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Administer offboarding processes with professionalism and care.
- Manage leave of absence programs, balancing empathy and compliance.
- Respond to HR inquiries with outstanding customer service and attention to detail.
HR Operations & Communication:
- Monitor and manage the People Team inbox, efficiently triaging requests to appropriate team members.
- Create and maintain clear process documentation to ensure consistent People Team operations.
- Collaborate with external vendors to support employee programs and processes.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct audits within the HRIS to maintain data accuracy and ensure compliance with employee documentation.
Additional Contributions:
- Support People Team projects with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, required. Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS and ATS platforms preferred.

Salary range for this role: $65,000 - $85,000 annually
