What You’ll Do
Are you passionate about building inclusive, high-performing teams? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your strategic thinking and relationship-building skills can shape the future of workforce planning? This expression of interest for a Partner, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Management will support innovative recruitment strategies and workforce initiatives that reinforce our mission of delivering an exceptional employee and learner experience.
In this dynamic role, you’ll be at the heart of shaping Algonquin College’s recruitment experience. Reporting to the Associate Manager, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Management, you’ll lead full-cycle recruitment for a range of roles—from part-time positions to executive-level searches—delivering a personalized, consultative approach that reflects each client’s unique needs and culture. You’ll craft sourcing strategies that elevate Algonquin College’s reputation as an employer of choice, while partnering with People Leaders to embed inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility (IDEA) into every step of the hiring journey. Storytelling, community connection, and holistic recruitment practices will be central to your work. Leveraging Workday and emerging AI technologies, you’ll streamline workflows, scale outreach, and generate insights that drive smarter, more inclusive hiring decisions. Your contributions will extend beyond recruitment, supporting strategic workforce planning to ensure the right talent is in place to meet operational goals. You’ll also empower People Leaders through training and coaching and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership—offering expert guidance on hiring strategies, market trends, and talent analytics that shape the future of our workforce.

A 3-year diploma/degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field. Equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience may be accepted in place of formal education.
CHRP/CHRL is considered an asset.
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including talent acquisition and workforce planning in a unionized environment.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, collective agreements, and HR policies.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and analytical skills.
Experience with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and recruitment analytics.

Your insight can help us build stronger relationships and create more welcoming pathways for Indigenous talent at Algonquin College.
Executive search experience, including working with senior leaders and external search firms. We welcome candidates who have successfully led or supported executive-level recruitment initiatives, including working closely with senior leaders to define strategic hiring needs. Experience collaborating with external search firms, managing high-stakes recruitment processes, and navigating complex organizational dynamics will be especially beneficial. Your ability to build trust with senior stakeholders and deliver thoughtful, discreet, and impactful recruitment solutions will help elevate our talent acquisition strategy across the College.
Experience leveraging generative AI tools in recruitment. We’re excited to welcome candidates who have explored or implemented generative AI to enhance talent acquisition processes.
