The Talent Acquisition Manager is the strategic leader of EMS|MC’s Talent Acquisition function, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies that attract, engage, and hire top talent across the organization. This role leads a high-performing team to deliver a best-in-class candidate and hiring manager experience. The Talent Acquisition Manager sets the vision and standards for recruitment excellence, aligning hiring practices with EMS|MC’s mission, values, and growth objectives.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Talent Acquisition team, fostering a high-performing, service-oriented culture.
- Define and execute EMS|MC’s recruiting strategy, aligning it with current and future business needs and DEIBA goals.
- Serve as the primary strategic partner to hiring managers and department leaders, offering guidance on workforce planning, job design, and talent alignment.
- Own and continuously improve full-cycle recruitment processes—from intake through onboarding handoff—with a focus on quality, consistency, and equity.
- Establish and maintain clear recruiting workflows, templates, toolkits, and training for both TA team members and hiring leaders.
- Leverage data and dashboards to assess performance (time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, candidate satisfaction, etc.) and make proactive improvements.
- Oversee and guide sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill or frequently hired roles, ensuring alignment with brand and talent goals.
- Activate EMS|MC’s employer brand through job marketing, career pages, and DEIBA-aligned outreach efforts.
- Represent EMS|MC at virtual and in-person hiring events, building talent pipelines and increasing brand visibility.
- Supervise the Talent Acquisition Specialist and Talent Operations Coordinator, providing direction, coaching, and workload prioritization.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Learning & Development, HR, and hiring managers to ensure seamless onboarding and employee experience.
- Provide regular updates to the Director of Talent and key stakeholders on hiring activity, market trends, and strategic risks.
- Champion inclusive hiring practices and integrate equity-focused tools and guidance across every stage of the recruitment lifecycle.
- Coach hiring managers on interview best practices, legal compliance, and structured, values-aligned selection processes.
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with applicable employment laws, internal policies, and system standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Education, Skills, & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, with at least 2 years in a people leadership or team management role
- Demonstrated success leading and developing recruiting teams and operations
- Expertise in ATS systems (Paylocity preferred), sourcing tools, and data-informed recruiting decisions
- Strong interpersonal and coaching skills; able to lead through influence and collaboration
- Deep knowledge of equitable and inclusive hiring practices and structured interviewing techniques
- Proficiency in English is necessary for job-related communication, including understanding policies, writing correspondence, and engaging with colleagues or clients.

- Experience in healthcare, professional services, or high-growth environments
- Background in employer branding, talent marketing, or university partnerships
- Familiarity with workforce planning or compensation alignment strategies
Working Environment
- The office environment is a controlled indoor setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
- Noise levels in the office are typically moderate and consistent with a standard office setting.
- For employees approved to work in a hybrid or remote setting, a quiet, private workspace free from significant distractions is required to ensure productivity during work hours.
- A reliable internet connection is required for hybrid/remote work. EMS|MC will provide necessary equipment, including a computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset.
