As Chartis continues to expand its impact as a leading healthcare strategy and advisory firm, we are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Manager, Healthcare IT Talent Acquisition (Epic), to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our contract recruiting efforts by identifying, engaging, and securing exceptional Epic IT talent at all levels.
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to firm leadership and delivery teams, driving full-cycle recruitment with a focus on contract Epic IT talent aligned to active and pipeline client engagements. You will combine market intelligence, search expertise, and a deep understanding of Chartisโ mission to build and maintain a strong pipeline of high-quality, readily deployable consultants. From aligning on project-based hiring needs to executing targeted outreach strategies, and from evaluating technical and functional fit to managing offer negotiations, you will lead a high-touch, relationship-driven process that ensures timely fulfillment, billability, and exceptional talent alignment with client needs.
Recruiting
Lead end-to-end recruitment for contract Epic IT roles across clinical, revenue cycle, and technical workstreams aligned to active and pipeline client engagements
Partner with firm leadership, sales, and delivery teams to define project-based hiring needs, role requirements, and ideal consultant profiles to ensure rapid fulfillment and billability
Build and manage a high-velocity pipeline of Epic-certified consultants through targeted sourcing, network development, and proactive outreach within the contractor market
Assess candidate qualifications, Epic certifications, and project experience to ensure strong alignment with client requirements and engagement success
Act as the primary point of contact for consultants, delivering a responsive, high-touch experience while managing expectations around timelines, project scope, and onboarding
Maintain ongoing relationships with consultants to support repeat placements and long-term engagement within the Chartis network
Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor to Managing Partners, practice leaders, and delivery teams on contract talent strategy, particularly for Epic-related client engagements
Provide market intelligence and competitive insights, including contractor rate trends, and talent availability within the Epic ecosystem
Partner with leadership to prioritize hiring needs aligned to active projects and pipeline demand, ensuring timely deployment of billable resources
Manage negotiations for contract engagements in alignment with firm policies and client requirements
Facilitate hiring committee discussions and present candidate slates, assessments, and recommendations to decision-makers
Talent Strategy & Market Development
Build and maintain a robust network of Epic consultants across clinical, revenue cycle, and technical modules (e.g., Willow, Beacon, Cadence, Resolute)
Proactively develop pipelines of high-quality, immediately deployable contract talent to meet evolving client needs
Represent Chartis in the external market through networking, industry events, and talent communities to strengthen brand presence among Epic consultants
Monitor competitor activity, rate trends, and consultant movement to identify and engage top contract talent
Process & Operational Excellence
Deliver a high-quality, efficient recruiting process optimized for contract staffing, balancing speed, candidate experience, and quality of hire
Partner with HR, Legal, and Operations to ensure compliance with contract terms, vendor agreements, and onboarding processes
Leverage and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (Ashby) to manage pipelines, track submissions, and report on key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, submittal-to-placement)
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and deployment of consultants to client engagements
Continuously refine recruiting workflows to improve scalability, responsiveness, and alignment with business needs
Bachelorโs degree required
7+ years of progressive recruiting experience, with a strong focus on contract staffing within healthcare IT
Proven success recruiting and placing Epic IT professionals across clinical and revenue cycle modules (e.g., Willow, Beacon, Cadence, Resolute, etc.)
Deep understanding of contract recruiting dynamics, including rate negotiation, consultant engagement, and rapid deployment models
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong pipelines of contract talent using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
Strong network within the Epic consulting and healthcare IT contractor community
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage candidates and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Highly organized and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Ashby), with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to operate with urgency while maintaining a high standard of candidate experience and stakeholder partnership
Minimal travel required (e.g., periodic firm meetings, industry events)
Salary range: $100,000-$140,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs.
