Position: HR Automation & Talent Acquisition Specialist

Reports to: Head of Human Resources

Location: Texas

Vidalta Residential is seeking a forward-thinking HR Automation & Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is a pivotal role designed for an HR professional who is in both human relations and technology. You will not only manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our properties but will also serve as the Lead Architect for HR Automation.

Position Overview

The HR Automation & Talent Acquisition Specialist is a mid-level; transformative role designed for a tech-savvy HR professional who views manual entry as an opportunity for automation. You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for our onsite and corporate teams while simultaneously serving as the AI Architect for the HR department.

Your mission is to replace manual, repetitive tasks with intelligent workflows using Paylocity, Google Workspace, and AI integration tools, allowing our team to focus on what matters most: our people.

Key Responsibilities - AI-Driven Talent Acquisition

  • Full-Cycle Recruiting: Manage recruitment for exempt and non-exempt roles (Managers, Leasing, Maintenance) across the Southern US.
  • Implement AI-powered sourcing tools to identify passive talent on LinkedIn and Indeed, to build a passive candidate pipeline for hard-to-fill technical maintenance roles.
  • Develop and deploy AI-assisted screening (automated scheduling and initial video screening) to ensure hiring managers only see the top 10% of candidates.
  • Paylocity Optimization: Act as the Super User for the Paylocity ATS, automating candidate communications and offer letter workflows.

HR Operations & Automation

  • Process Automation: Identify repetitive HR tasks and implement automation using Google Apps Script, or AI agents to increase departmental bandwidth.
  • Serve as the internal Super User for Paylocity, ensuring the ATS and Onboarding modules are fully optimized and integrated with our tech stack.
  • AI Implementation: Deploy AI-driven tools for resume screening, automated interview scheduling, and candidate engagement (chatbots).
  • Data Intelligence: Utilize Google Looker Studio to create real-time dashboards for turnover trends, recruitment costs, and workforce analytics.
  • Transform the first 90 days into a digital journey, using automated check-ins and engagement triggers to ensure new hires feel supported.
  • Digital Brand Presence: Use Canva and AI image/video tools to create compelling employer branding content for social media and internal announcements.
  • Deploy AI-driven pulse surveys to gauge employee sentiment in real-time, moving beyond the annual survey model.
  • Training: Educate hiring managers on how to use new AI tools and the Paylocity platform effectively.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition or HR, with at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in IT, HRIS analysis, or AI implementation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets/Drive/Forms) and Paylocity (or similar HRIS).
  • Ability to use SQL, or advanced Excel/Sheets to manipulate HR data.
  • Experience with automation tools (Google Apps Script) and a deep curiosity for emerging AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) in a business context.
  • Previous experience in Property Management or Multifamily housing is highly preferred.
  • Language: Bilingual (English & Spanish) is strongly preferred to support our diverse workforce.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to translate complex data sets into actionable HR strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
