ROLE We are seeking an experienced Federal Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) and United States Attorney’s Offices (USAOs) with federal staffing and recruitment services. In this role, you will help support the establishment and filling of General Schedule (GS) and Administratively Determined (AD) positions using USA Staffing, USAJobs, USA Hire, and applicable federal hiring authorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support managers, supervisors, and senior HR staff with federal recruitment actions
Assist with staffing actions for GS and Administratively Determined positions
Use USA Staffing to help develop, post, and manage vacancy announcements
Prepare vacancy announcement content with required position and recruitment information
Support job analysis based on position duties, qualifications, and hiring needs
Assist with specialized experience statements for positions and grade levels recruited
Develop minimum qualification questions and related assessment materials
Use USA Hire and other second hurdle assessment options when appropriate
Review applications to determine basic eligibility and minimum qualifications
Apply federal qualification standards, hiring authorities, and veterans’ preference
Assist with rating and ranking applicants in accordance with federal staffing requirements
Make proper annotations in USA Staffing and related automated staffing systems
Support rating panels and assist with applicant material review as needed
Assist with issuing certificates of eligibles to management officials
Prepare candidate notices, notices of results, and related recruitment communications
Respond to inquiries from supervisors, managers, applicants, and candidates
Support general, specialized, or targeted outreach recruitment efforts
Assist with recruitment actions conducted under Delegated Examining procedures
Support quality reviews of staffing case files before employment offers are extended
Help verify candidate eligibility and qualification requirements before appointment
Draft or assist with standard job aids for USA Staffing and USA Hire
Maintain staffing documentation in accordance with federal records requirements
Handle applicant, personnel, and recruitment information with discretion
Perform work in accordance with DOJ, EOUSA, OPM, and federal staffing requirements
Support timely, accurate, and compliant completion of recruitment actions
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge of federal staffing, recruitment, and hiring authority procedures
Familiarity with USA Hire and other second hurdle assessment options
Knowledge of federal hiring authorities, qualification standards, and veterans’ preference
Ability to support job analysis and develop specialized experience statements
Ability to review applications for eligibility, qualifications, and appointment requirements
Ability to assist with certificates and applicant notification documents
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
Ability to maintain complete and compliant staffing documentation
Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, managers, candidates, and HR staff
Ability to manage multiple recruitment actions, deadlines, and staffing priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and federal automated staffing tools
BACKGROUND
Minimum of three (3) years of Federal Government staffing experience required
Experience using USA Staffing to post and manage vacancy announcements required
Experience supporting federal recruitment actions under Delegated Examining procedures required
Experience developing assessment tools, rating criteria, or qualification questions required
Experience reviewing applicants for eligibility, qualifications, and veterans’ preference required
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current Delegated Examining certification from the Office of Personnel Management required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
