We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to join our team at True to help shape the future of our high-growth strategy with a focus on organic growth and acquisitions. The Director of Talent Acquisition provides leadership, support, advocacy, and vision to recruiters and support staff who provide recruiting support to hiring managers across the platform. Initially, this position will conduct a full life cycle recruitment to source the best talent for True Environmental portfolio firms.Role ExpectationsThe Director of Talent Acquisition will be part of a fast-growing platform buildout in the environmental consulting and engineering field. The successful candidate will report to the Chief People Officer and is expected to demonstrate excellence in leadership, deliver and oversee high-quality work products, perform well, and help sustain the growth of our client base. This leadership role requires critical thinking and decision-making in a high-velocity environment, strong business acumen, extraordinary attraction and recruitment ability, sound ethical character, and executive presence.

What you'll do

    • In your day-to-day work, you will work individually and in partnership with the HR team to:
    • Work with leadership to develop recruiting strategies and compensation requirements and assess hiring needs tied to key initiatives.
    • Serve as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies that result in client satisfaction. Develop effective relationships within the organization and the hiring community to influence and impact the recruiting and hiring process.
    • Recruit full-time, part-time, temporary, contractual, and intern personnel. Manage full life cycle recruitment (post, source, prescreen, schedule, background, references, offer, onboarding, etc.).
    • Complete the hiring process within defined metrics to minimize overall time-to-start. Develop appropriate marketing strategies, define roles and responsibilities of the hiring team, and develop service-level agreements to ensure an effective and efficient recruitment lifecycle while minimizing cost-per-hire.
    • Work closely with hiring managers across the platform to share best practices, provide assistance on critical needs, and coordinate national-level initiatives.
    • Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and competitive advantage to support the company's diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
    • Work closely with the HR team to collect and coordinate aggregate data for the talent pool andtranslate those data into insights through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at theappropriate levels.
    • Develop and implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to build a pipeline of qualified candidates.
    • Partner with all parts of HR - centers of excellence (COEs) and peers in other areas of the business.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

    • A BS/BA degree is required, and an MBA or advanced degree in HR is preferred.
    • 10+ years of talent acquisition experience.
    • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods, best practices, applicable policies, and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, lead change, recognize trends, and identify systematic problem-solving approaches.
    • Experience partnering with senior executives and teams within a complex, matrixed environment.
    • Strong business acumen, curiosity, learning agility, and learning/growth mindset. Ability to assess and translate business strategy and workforce implications and identify relevant solutions.
    • Strong assessor of talent and ability to attract and recruit top talent.
    • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Requirements

    • Experience in civil and environmental engineering.
    • Advanced proficiency in ATS systems including Lever.
