The Coordinator, Talent Acquisition plays a key role in supporting the university’s strategic staffing needs by managing end-to-end recruitment and selection processes for a wide range of staff positions, with a particular focus on the Auxiliary Support Staff pool. This position is responsible for developing and executing targeted recruitment strategies, coordinating advertising and candidate sourcing, supporting selection committees, and ensuring compliance with the collective agreement, employment legislation, and institutional policy. The Coordinator serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and applicants, providing guidance throughout the recruitment life cycle and ensuring a professional, inclusive, and consistent candidate experience. The role also supports recruitment marketing efforts, manages job postings through the Applicant Tracking System, and assists in onboarding and orientation activities.
The Coordinator oversees key administrative and labour relations processes related to auxiliary employment, including tracking performance evaluations, supporting disciplinary procedures, and liaising with managers, supervisors and association representatives to address staffing concerns. The position is also responsible for coordinating full-time secondments and Association releases under the collective agreement, ensuring accurate monitoring of timelines, reimbursements, and compliance requirements. The Coordinator handles sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism, facilitates timely communication between HR and key stakeholders, and contributes to initiatives that support a great candidate and employee experience.
