The Role

The Associate Director Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end recruiting operations to attract, engage, and hire high-quality talent aligned to organizational goals. This role oversees recruiting strategy execution, day-to-day team leadership, and process excellence to ensure staffing needs are met efficiently and compliantly.

The Main Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Partner with business leaders to understand current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop and execute recruiting plans aligned to business priorities and staffing forecasts.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Proven ability to partner with executive stakeholders, provide strategic guidance, and manage complex, high‑visibility priorities
  • Proven ownership of end to end recruiting operations, including demand management, prioritization, and delivery at scale
  • Strong data driven mindset, with experience using recruiting metrics and insights (e.g., time to fill, pipeline health, quality of hire) to drive decisions
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, balance competing priorities, and resolve escalations effectively
  • Experience leading teams through change, ambiguity, or organizational transformation

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition professionals.
  • Provide guidance on recruiting best practices, candidate assessment, and stakeholder management.
  • Support performance management, training, mentoring, and professional development.

Full-Cycle Recruiting Oversight

  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer management, and onboarding support.
  • Support recruiting for domestic and/or international roles, as applicable.
  • Ensure an effective, consistent candidate and hiring manager experience across processes.

Compliance, Governance & Best Practices

  • Ensure recruiting processes follow applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal standards.
  • Promote continuous improvement by adopting and implementing industry best practices.
  • Monitor process adherence and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and quality of hire.

Operational Management, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Track recruiting performance metrics, analyze data trends, and produce actionable insights for leaders.
  • Support employer branding, recruiting marketing, and hiring events as needed.
  • Contribute to budget planning and management for recruiting tools, programs, and events.
  • Provide consultation to business partners and ensure consistent execution across management and non-management hiring (including union/bargaining roles, where applicable).
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Job Contribution / Scope

  • Oversees the operational execution of talent acquisition initiatives and the day-to-day management of the function.
  • Implements strategies and programs established by senior leadership, ensuring effective adoption across the team.
  • Supervises and leads entry-level through career-level staff.
  • Influences decisions related to hiring, performance management, disciplinary action, promotions, and compensation recommendations for direct reports.

Main Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including leadership or team oversight.

 

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

 Location Based Pay Ranges:

$150,000-$210,000

Background Screening
